A Conneaut resident since the age of 10, Mr. Gary was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army having served in Europe as a cook with the Rainbow Division. He was employed for a time at the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad before joining Holdson's Bakery in Conneaut which he later purchased and ran as the Electrik Maid. He later worked for the former Exomet before joining Bethlehem Steamship Lines from which he retired as second cook and baker.
Mr. Gary served for a time as an auxiliary police officer in Conneaut. He was a member and past commander of Cowle Post #151 of the American Legion and also served as district and county commanders, and state committeeman. He enjoyed reading and bowling.

A lifelong Conneaut resident, and had been employed in the offices at Phil Cress CPA, Presque Isle Plastics, and the Conneaut Chamber of Commerce.
She was a member of First Congregational-United Church of Christ in Conneaut, where she was active in the Women’s Fellowship, and also assisted her husband, Dick, in preparing their sourdough pancake breakfasts. She was also a member of Conneaut Mothers Club, the Stanley-Redmond Harper chapter of the D.A.R., Bridge Club for more than 50 years, and the Rambling Squares square dance club.
A true homemaker, she excelled at cooking, sewing, and all types of needlework and crafts. Eunice and her husband were avid travelers and members of the Airstream International Travel Club. They camped in their Airstream all over the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and Europe, and had been interviewed on Sunday morning television’s "On the Road with Charles Kuralt."

Ushering and preparation of sour dough pancake dinners were his noteworthy activities as an active memeber of United Church of Christ. He was a member of Evergreen Lodge 222 F. & A.M. and Amboy Rifle Club. In addition to his involvement as a Boy Scout leader for several years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as traveling with the Air Stream International Travel Club. He also belonged to the Rambling Squares Square Dance Club.

He enjoyed singing and dancing, and acted in the Green Door Follies and the Rotary Club/MacDowell Music Club musicals for several years. He also attended and rooted for all his familys sporting events.
